There is a little jar on my kitchen windowsill that occasionally holds treasures from my boys. Acorns. Pebbles. Wildflowers. And, more often than not, dandelions. Tiny fists stretch toward me with bright yellow blooms and proud smiles. "Mommy, I picked these for you!" I've never once looked at those dandelions and thought about whether they were perfect flowers. I don't analyze whether they belong in a florist's bouquet or if someone else might call them weeds.
